Homemaking is my favorite thing. And if you’ve landed on this blog post then maybe it’s something you love (or are about to love!) as much as I do!

Today I’m sharing links to all my top homemaking resources for you to dive into.

Enjoy!

Books

For the Love of Christian Homemaking by Mrs. Sharon White

I believe this was the first book I picked up by Mrs. White and she quickly became one of my favorite authors to read in the early morning while I have my cup of coffee in bed. Her writing style is calm and joyful as she offers real advice and encouragement for the everyday. Reading her books is like talking to a wise grandparent.

Recommended for anyone that wishes they had spent more time with their grandparents or older relatives that were homemakers, and who had such a tremendous amount of sage wisdom that they wished they could have absorbed.

The Homemade housewife: The Last book you will ever need on homemaking and frugal living by Kate Singh

Kate offers incredibly practical and down to earth advice on how to manage every aspect of the home. From schedules during the day, finding joy in the simple moments, how to manage the family finances and so much more. Although Kate has written several books, I feel that this one is probably my favorite and offers the most advice between its covers.

Recommend for anyone that needs practical everyday advice, for anyone just embarking on their homemaking journey and for any homemaker that is looking for some fresh ideas.

My life as an amish wife: A Diary (plain living) by Lena Yoder

I could go down a rabbit hole about all the Amish books I love because they speak so much wisdom and simplicity in the home, but this book is my favorite out of the Amish homemaking genre. Lena Yoder is incredibly witty and offers practical advice and tips as she shares her daily life on her farm in her Amish community.

Recommend for anyone that’s interested or looking into a more simple lifestyle.

Say goodbye to survival mode: 9 simple strategies to stress less, sleep more and restore your passion for life by Crystal Paine

I read this after my daughter was born and I found it to be a massive help in manuvering the new world of homemaking and also being a stay at home mom. In this book Crystal tackles everything from time management to goal setting and her writing style really inspired me.

Recommend to anyone that maybe feels a bit lost in their journey of motherhood and trying to manage the home.

The psychology of Money : Timeless lessons on wealth, greed and happiness by Morgan Housel

In our home I am the one that manages our budget (I’ve always loved personal finance!) and I found this book incredibly insightul on the psychology behind our spending.

Recommend to anyone that wants to dive more into the personal finance side of life.

My money my way: Taking control of your financial life by Kumiko Love

I’ve been a fan of The Budget Mom for a long time and her book was just as good as I imagined it would be. Kumiko offers realistic advice to everyone on how to get out of debt, manage your money and move forward in your life to achieve your goals.

Recommend to anyone that needs to break free from debt, learn how to budget or reassess their financial plans.
